In order to make progress on my list these are all the remaining tasks and steps I'm going to take immediately:
Sew something without help
-This is more a matter of money than anything else. I'm putting it off until I get my fall disbursement check for school, but I'm pretty sure I could do something simple now, like a viking apron. I can't make everything I want, but I think I can do halfway decent at something simple. So... Finaces!
Warp the loom without help
-The loom is now packed in a box in the garage, so, it'll have to wait until after I move. And after I get that summer disbursement check so I can buy some nice yarn. But, I have instructions on how to do it again, and I think I can handle it.
Learn the Hebrew Printed Alphabet
-I'm taking Hebrew at school in the fall, so if I don't do it by then, I'll certainly do it then.
Have garb appropriate to 13th Century Ukraine
-Honestly, I need a teacher, and I don't know anyone here willing to teach. I really want to do this one, so I'm leaving it on the list, but I doubt I'll be able to while I live in Meridies.
Pass my student teaching
-Fall semester!
Authorize for Heavy Fighting
-I need to start making more regular practices, and fix my shield.
Learn to set up my own sewing machine
-I really need to try to do this at some point, and see if I can figure it out. But the sewing supplies are packed, so it will have to wait until I move.
Go Rafting
-Sign up for trip on first day of school.
Learn the Hebrew handwritten alphabet
-Again, this is a job for the fall
Bake cupcakes
-I think I'm going to do this as a welcome home gift to us when we move.
Take Derech Torah class
-In progress
Make a pie
-I'll probably do this on 3/14 next year, just to be clever.
Find 10 wines I like
-I think I have 3 that I like, but I haven't written them up. So I should write them up, and then ask the guy at the wine store for more suggestions.
Make a new 101 list
-At the end of this list
Scan all photo albums
-Again, they're all packed, so I'll restart this as soon as I move.
Learn 50 new things by clicking random wiki articles
-One a week gets this done in a year. I need to be better about doing this though.
NaBloPoMo
-June? Depending on the theme... I tried to do April but it was all about poetry. lol.
Hockey Game
-Not exactly the right season for it. I'll talk to my husband about it in a few months.
Baseball Game
-Kevin and I have plans to go to a Dodgers game but we still need to buy the tickets. So I'll talk to him about doing this.
Buy a house
-In Progress
Spend a day at the beach
-I've got a hotel for a whole week at the beach! I paid for it off my credit card reward points that I haven't spent since 2005 lol!
Work on a Habitat House
-Waiting for the temple to say something about this.
Make a hippocras
-Christmas
Complete a coloring book
-I need to find either one of my coloring books. They're probably packed, so I'll get back on this when we move.
Make an herb garden
-Silly to do it here... have to wait until the move.
Write on 10 creative writing prompts
-1 a month gets this done in about a year.
Spend a day writing and photographing my neighborhood
-Obviously, this is after I move.
Complete a photo scavenger hunt
-This actually sounds like a good thing to spend some time doing maybe tomorrow.
Double store important photographs someplace besides flickr
-Tonight I'll ask my friends where they recommend and maybe explore a little. Then over the next few weeks I'll go through my flickr and download the ones I want to keep.
Take a self portrait every month for a year - starting on my 31st birthday will let me finish this one right as t he list ends in September 2013.

NeoNed
This movie starts in a mental hospital, where a neonazi named Ned has murdered a guy but pled insanity. He meets a black woman who thinks she's the reincarnation of Hitler. They fall in love. I honestly couldn't care less about either of the characters. The plot-line was predictable, other than that the characters were both nuts, and not even well portrayed nuts. The movie is from 2005, and I'm shocked that it's that recent. I was pretty bored throughout.

An amusement park
Today I went to 6 flags over Georgia. It's early in the season so we were able to pretty much just walk from one ride to another without much waiting. A lot of it was really fun. The only problem came at the very end, really. I was too fat to fit in a roller coaster, but not enough so that I had to get off. Just enough so so that my back wasn't flush against the seat. It HURT. Nonetheless, I'd go again, which is good since I have a season pass now to there and white water.

Today I learned that adult howler monkeys do not often rely on their tails for locomotion, but juveniles frequently do. Meaning I saw a juvenile one in Guatemala, and it was still friggen huge!

Beet Soup
I tried a beet soup that a friend from Australia sent me, via a mutual friend from Russia. Supposedly it's a traditional meal there. The recipe is as follows:
My basic thoughts were... it was... not very good. I mean, I don't know exactly what went wrong, but it wasn't very good. It's possible I just don't like beets - I've never had them before (to be honest, I thought they were turnips!) it's also possible I don't like cold soups. Whatever the issue, I don't think I'll be repeating this one.
So as I told you it's cold soup type and we call it Svekol'nik (Svekla = beet in russian)
You need wash, peel beet and cut it into cubes (size near 1x1 cm)
Add cold water (2 l for 0.5 kg beet) add slightly vin?gar and salt and boil, after boiling decrease fair and cook it within 40-60 min in little fair (it must be almost boil, but not boil) After it chill soup and put in the fridge
you also need cook potaoes and eggs (If you do not eat eggs just don't add it)
So soup is practically ready!
When you wish refresh by cold soup you need just take beet broth from the fridge, fill a tureen and add potatoes (cut in the cubes), eggs, cocumbers and spring onion. I like also add some mustard. Enjoy!
[later, in Skype chat, Marina clarified in answer to some questions:]
grate eggs and cucumbers into cubes, onion - small pieces
Keep the broth separate from the potatoes, eggs, cucumbers and spring onion until ready to eat, otherwise the solid ingredients swell.

Authorize for combat archery - I need to authorize to fight first, and to do that... well that's a whole 'nother goal.
Sew something without help - I need to accomplish goal: learn to set up my sewing machine first.
Warp loom without help - First I need supplies: string and cards. So this two weeks, I will either find or purchase these two supplies.
Learn Pysanky - I will look up patterns and supplies this two weeks
Learn the Hebrew printed alphabet - two letters a week gets me this in a relatively short time frame, especially considering i already know a few letters.
Have garb appropriate to 13th century ukraine - I will read the book I bought about this, and figure out what would be appropriate.
Read To Pray as a Jew - Just keep reading
Complete puzzle book - one a week should do it
Pass my student teaching - this one kind of automatically starts in January.
complete a sudoku book - figure out how many puzzles I have to do a week in order to do this.
Complete a crossword book - same
Authorize for heavy fighting - restrap my shield
Learn to set up my own sewing machine - Requires finding someone who knows how to set up my sewing machine I suppose.
Read a children's book in Hebrew - after learning the alphabet, and some words, obviously!

Bake cupcakes - bring to SCA event that I'm supposed to bring a dessert to. I've forgotten which. :p
See an off broadway production - find schedules for theaters
Try a new recipe every month for a year - guess I'd better start this one.
Take Taste of Judaism class - easy enough
Take Derech Torah class - just gotta pay and sign up
Spend a day at the beach - will have to wait until summer!
Finish the book about me - figure out how much I have to do in a week
Work on Habitat House - keep reading synagogue bulletins for info on this
Talk to the Rabbi about conversion - repeat if necessary - get up some damned nerve! His office hours are Tuesdays... I should be able to make it the 10th.
make a hippocras - on hold
Visit an amusement park - spring might be a better time for this!
Read a Children's book in Russian - on hold
Go to a zoo - February
Open a cookbook to a random page and make it - providing no one is allergic to it - why not I can do this.

Make one good thing a day my facebook status for a month - OK This is A January Project!
Find 10 beers I like and figure out similarities between them so I can guess at new beers - Need to write up the beers I already know I like.
Find 10 wines I like and figure out similarities between them so I can guess at new wines - Same
Make a new 101 list - obviously this goes at the end of the list!
Get rid of 100 things - start by working on the garage!
Clean my spot in the garage - work on this this month
Get a degree from RUM - Go to some SCA events and see when/if classes are even offered :p
Scan SAS photo albums - one country a week gets this done in 10 weeks!

Zulu
OK, I confess, I started watching this movie, and didn't finish. It was just that bad. It's a supposedly true story of the Zulu wars in South Africa. But it just made these people out to be animals. I guess I shouldn't have expected much more from 1964... but where do you find movies that start with Z? lol

DITL December 5
This DITL goes sundown to sundown following a Jewish day rather than an American day. Why? Because I could.
I finish my shield - the last thing I need to try to authorize to fight.
Schedule for the day...
Selling books on Amazon.com. This book was so big I had to go to Target and buy a special envelope for it.
It's quiet in the house - turn on a random movie just to create noise.
Forbidden midnight snack :p
Ended up throwing some grapes in there, too. It was yummy!
Good night.
Good Morning!
So what happened here is I washed all the dishes, then cleaned out the fridge and ended up with a sink full of more dishes to do... but I swear a lot got done in between these two pics!
This was a lot worse, too.
Fixing armor to make it legal in Meridies, even though it was legal in Outlands and Caid already. This was a HUGE PAIN fixing my legs. The glue did not want to stick to leather, even though I was promised it would.
Jack is not amused.

Emma
E is for Emma. I watched this movie, based on the book by Jane Austen, tonight. It was really slow, actually, and I'm still not entirely sure what's going on. The gossipy girls are driving me nuts. Basically... two stars. I guess.

DITL November 23
Happy Midnight DITL. Here's the agenda for the day :p
Dog knows best - it's time to be sleeping.
I sold a book! Yay for getting money, and getting space on my bookshelf!
How exactly did this hour happen while I'm still awake?
Give the dog a treat.
Good Morning!
Find an article about Magna Faire - still debating whether I'm going.
Up and ready to go!
Sekrit Piktur - No cameras allowed inside!
This was SUCH a bad idea!
But look, we have food!
All natural, fantastic yummy juice!
And lunch :p
What our kitchen looked like
What our kitchen looked like when hubby got home.
All the dishes - forgot to take a before pic
Start listing chores that need to be done regulary so we can assign them
Before
After.
Quite possibly the stupidest episode of the Simpsons ever.
Dinner. Actually not so good. Threw out most of the broccoli. Hubby threw away all the veggies and ate a piece of chicken I had also cooked.
Tomorrow is Turkey Day, and for the first time I'm bringing something to the family dinner.
Sweet potatoes don't look too yummy yet!
Give up my usual midnight snack for some vodka and green stuff.
Make sure the calories check out
Souffle done! It doesn't look the way I remember it from childhood, but hubby says it looks right to him.
Relax for a bit
Take bath
Good night DITL!
