DITL October 30th
Good Morning, DITL! How are you today? I'm good. And dressed all nice to go out within 15 minutes of waking up!
Pretty sure I've done this every single DITL I've ever done. Not sure why it always unfolds that way.
I'm only supposed to have a 10 gallon tank, so what's with the 11 gallons of gas this morning?
I'm here before the stores open. Oops! Turning in job applications for seasonal work.
Only one thing to do when you've got nothing else to do!
Looks nice for the rest of the week! Yay!
Write a lesson plan.
Seven pages later, stop to goof around for a bit.
Kindle app for the ipad has saved me so much money it's not even funny, in textbooks as well as just books. Today it's homework time.
Spend considerable time trying to get a good picture of the dog - probably my last ever picture of this dog as it is my sister's dog, and it is moving to North Carolina soon.
Doggie never stops moving!
HAH! I WIN!
Spend a little time being quiet...
Before helping make dinner
So, we had to marinate the meat, and didn't realize it until we were cooking. So here's a short break in cooking while we chat about nothing.
Veggies
steak! Nom!
Cheat on my diet just a bit...
We're making thank you gifts for people who have helped me with a class I'm taking.
More reading on the kindle, and writing another paper...
This is followed by trying and failing to sleep, and then posting this, lol. It's after midnight, so I guess my day is done. Good night, DITL.

October 23, DITL
A DITL done on my cell phone since my camera seems to have disappeared. A day in which my doctor orders me to stay in bed, and I promptly go to class anyway (in the aquarium! Check it out!) but mostly stay in bed...
Wakey Wakey, time to check in with everybody...
Make sure OccupyAtlanta is still going strong after the concern last night. Not that I can go join them with doctor's orders being bed rest, but I can still hope...
As long as everything's going as it should, I should do some homework that I should have done over the last few days anyway....
Maybe I'll eat.
And then I'll write a paper...
So this week's training class has nothing to do with sharks, but there's still a shark jaw.
There are real lobsters involved somewhere - but I fail to get a decent pic of them.
Somebody's egg case but I forget whose.
I want a volunteer week 2011!
No traffic so I'm super early - take the time to run some flashcards.
And then class starts
The most photographed animal in the aquarium for some reason...
40% real coral. Can you tell the difference? (me either)
I found Dory!
Learn to use the computers to find out what kind of fish things are.
This is my new favorite fish. I forget exactly what it's called but it starts with an A (ETA - it's an anthium as the photo above shows)
how cool to stand below a wave.
I'd never noticed these little guys before in favor of looking at the reef around them.
behind the scenes
The exhibit is bigger than it looks
back home and back to "bed rest" I watch Big Bang Theory
Take a quick shower
Confuse the dog
And sign myself up for the volunteer job I just trained for :)

Occupy Savannah
Today was the first day of Occupy Savannah. Kiki and I went down to join the protests. It was good. I made a sign that said "Pro Life After Birth" and joined a circle of people talking about their lives and how they've been affected by republicunt stupidity. Then we went to the streets, and yelled. A lot of cars honked at us, especially trucks, and trolleys. There was a lot of standing, and a lot of yelling. Kiki and I shared some pizza for lunch, then back for more of the same. People kept bringing us things at the protest like sammiches, and coffee, and jolly ranchers. It rained on and off all day. I ran into Dr. Skidmore-Hess while there, which was nice. :) We got two "full moons" from passerby. I'd guess 1 in 10 drivers honked at us or waved or cheered us. I couldn't help but thinking that if one in ten of those came and joined us, we'd be a huge movement. We finally left around 6:20 or so.
Quote of the day?

30!
Tonight we're going to see Weird Al in concert. I'm pretty excited, really. This morning I went to the aquarium and got certified to work one of the galleries.
