Two Successes
Today I have two successes! I have written in LJ every day for a month, and taken my meds every day for a month. I don't feel any different for having taken the meds every day. Nonetheless, I have two more down, and I'm at 12% now.

Temple Grandin
Temple Grandin is the story of an autistic teenager who grows up to design half of the United States' cattle slaughterhouses to be more humane and not scare the cows. They manage to pull off this character who is clearly autistic, but not overly annoying nor completely impossible to connect with. Which is pretty amazing. Anyway, when I realized the movie was about cows I was a little worried, but it actually kept my interest more than most movies do. The way this girl's mind works is amazing - she can remember everything she has ever seen. And she pictures everything. See, my mind doesn't work in pictures at all. If I see even the most amazing art piece, I won't remember it 5 minutes later unless I'm looking at it again. I guess it's sort of the opposite of her problem - and it is a problem in my case, too - everything is words. I even dream in words rather than images. Anyway, I've strayed from the movie to my personal thoughts, so I'll close here with Four Stars.

Set up a house cleaning Schedule
I actually did one on accident! I forgot this was on my list, but Kevin and I desperately needed a house cleaning schedule if we're to move in 2 months. So I set it up. Then when I was going through looking at my list I was like "hey! I did that!" So yay me! lol. Anyway, the schedule is basically half an hour every day at 3pm (unless 3pm is undoable that day because of the SCA mostly in which case it's rescheduled for another time). In addition to this there are 2 hour "pushes" every Friday to make sure everything gets cleaned and out of here on time! 30 minutes is a perfect amount of time, because it just starts to feel like "guh" to me, without feeling excessive, whereas Kevin starts to "pick up steam" at 15 minutes so 20 minutes was too short for him. Today we cleaned our back yard, as much as is possible with the limitations of the size of the recycling container. We'll have to go back to that some time next week and finish it off. We also started in on the kitchen a bit.
Hopefully we'll get in the habit of doing this, and will continue in the new house as well, so we don't end up with the kind of mess that we have now.
According to dayzeroproject.com this officially makes me 10% done with my list. That's some good progress! Of course, it's the bigger things that are left.
100 Snapshots
Day in the Life
Good morning DITL! Yes, I apparently get up at this hour for no good reason now. I must be growing up...
Check my email, LJ, and other important sites.
Check my schedule for the day. I'm free until 3:00 time to clean up for half an hour with my husband.
We're completely out of food - this will suffice for breakfast!
Doggies must go out!
This is what our back porch looks like this morning.
Much cuter
Doggie!
Here's my todo list for the week. It runs Wednesday to Wednesday so it's not too impressive that it's half done...
Homework
Pause for scrabble!
Do some work for the 101 list, too.
Puppies like to play
Even Rogue will pay attention to me for cuddles!
We have a kitty too. He's not so playful.
This mess... must go!
TADA!
Hi DITL! I finally got myself out of my pajamas!
To go to the school for a bit
This is our giant printer. We're pretty sure it speaks Russian, not English...
Drive home pausing for this... it gets worse every week, I swear!

The Fighter
This movie was pretty good, actually. It was really well acted by the guy who played Dickie. I was rather annoyed by most of the characters most of the time though. Which I guess is the point and at least I cared about the characters, which is more than I can say for most movies that I watch. The end is obvious though. I mean, they don't make movies about losers, right? Overall I liked it, but I kinda hope it doesn't win best picture.

Authorize in Archery
I did one! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I guess I know what I'm doing. I'm going to take my new archery card to Lyondomere Arts and Archery next weekend and shoot in my first tournament.
Some Changes
I decided not to keep the school and California related goals on this list. Instead, I substituted some Atlanta related ones (like joining RUM) and some more generic ones, as well as some professional goals. The new list is posted here, and also posted at the Day Zero Project Website. New goals include (but aren't limited to, because I put some of them earlier in the list and can't remember which they were, duh!) :
85Get through the summer at camp
86Research camp budgets
87Research camp grants
88Authorize in archery - Which I did today!
89Get a job teaching
90Make something out of wood
91Try a new sport
92Read a children's book in Russian
93Learn medieval dancing
94Take a train somewhere
95Go rafting
96Complete a 1000+ piece puzzle
97Sort out my wardrobe and donate any old clothes
98Go to Harry Potter World
99Watch 26 new movies, one for each letter of the alphabet
100Read 3 books from the banned books list (http://www.banned-books.com/)
101Read 26 books I've never read starting with each letter of the alphabet

As clarification....
... I do not feel like I've failed because I'm dropping out of school. The failure mentioned was specifically in response to the 101 goals that I will not do because I'm dropping out of school. I'm actually not upset with dropping out. I think that it's ultimately what's best for me for many reasons.

Massive Fail
As some know, I've decided to drop out of school. This means I've failed at everything that requires me to be in school, and everything that requires me to live in Southern California. *sighs* I'm pretty disheartened about this.
