Snorkeling
So part of today's aquarium experience was swimming with whale sharks and other fishies in the Ocean Voyager exhibit. I got there about an hour and a half early, so I wandered around looking at fish, and spent about a half an hour staring at the sea otters (my favorites!) Then I went for a swim test - which I failed, but I still got to do the swim with the gentle giants thing... so I was pretty nervous when I first put the regulator in my mouth, but by the time I got halfway around, I was used to it. Yes, I've used one before, but I'd forgotten what it feels like. And it is weird. So I put my face in the water, and there was this jack like right there in front of my face, and I jumped. But then I kinda calmed down and started looking around and it was seriously the most relaxing thing ever. we swam a figure 8 over the exhibit, and I actually bumped into a whale shark! And two of the manta rays came really close, too.

DITL November 15
Good morning DITL.

There is actually one of these shots in every single DITL I've ever done. Either I use a lot more gas than I thought or this is very strange.

I'm not even late, and I'm stuck on the 3rd floor. What's up with that?

The Penguins are off exhibit. Which makes Cold Water Quest not so much fun. Although I love the Sea Otters, you do get assigned where to stand, and the position of standing by the empty penguin exhibit and hearing people whine over and over isn't so much fun

This little fish was thought to be extinct until he was found in a river in Georgia. Yay Happy Endings!

TJ the sea turtle thinks he's hiding. Little does he know we can all see him!

The biologist shows up to feed the rays in the middle of my time at the ray pool :)

The Mezzanine - not an easy job now that the whale slide is open.

The absolute bane of my existence. I don't like to tell kids no, but they have to be smaller than this to play. Most kids are too big.

Free food is the best food. And they gave me a coupon :)

And to school with me.

Livetext - the bane of my academic existence.

DITL October 30th
Good Morning, DITL! How are you today? I'm good. And dressed all nice to go out within 15 minutes of waking up!
Pretty sure I've done this every single DITL I've ever done. Not sure why it always unfolds that way.
I'm only supposed to have a 10 gallon tank, so what's with the 11 gallons of gas this morning?
I'm here before the stores open. Oops! Turning in job applications for seasonal work.
Only one thing to do when you've got nothing else to do!
Looks nice for the rest of the week! Yay!
Write a lesson plan.
Seven pages later, stop to goof around for a bit.
Kindle app for the ipad has saved me so much money it's not even funny, in textbooks as well as just books. Today it's homework time.
Spend considerable time trying to get a good picture of the dog - probably my last ever picture of this dog as it is my sister's dog, and it is moving to North Carolina soon.
Doggie never stops moving!
HAH! I WIN!
Spend a little time being quiet...
Before helping make dinner
So, we had to marinate the meat, and didn't realize it until we were cooking. So here's a short break in cooking while we chat about nothing.
Veggies
steak! Nom!
Cheat on my diet just a bit...
We're making thank you gifts for people who have helped me with a class I'm taking.
More reading on the kindle, and writing another paper...
This is followed by trying and failing to sleep, and then posting this, lol. It's after midnight, so I guess my day is done. Good night, DITL.
